My partner was perfectly surprised on his birthday when we picked up Gloria. The rides to Montville and back the next day were unreal. Perfect weather, perfect hinterland route (windy, through forests and along mountain ridges with view both sides…), perfect sound (we were able to listen to all my 50s and 60s songs while driving)… It was sooo much fun and a completely new experience. The whole process was very easy. More relaxed than I expected. Matilda was fantastic and drove exactly as I had been told to expect. I had one issue, which ended up being my fault (flooded the engine with the choke out). But a quick text conversation with Keith solved that. Had a great time with her and turned a few heads on the way up to Wyong. Also got the chance to take my father-in-law in a spin which made his day. Best part was my son was completely bowled over. We had a wonderful day out in this beautiful Corvette. It was a perfect day for a leisurely drive and we made the most of it. Breakfast at Terry Hills and lunch at Terrigal. The car drove like a dream and was everything I had hoped for and then some. Comfortable and sporty, we loved having an open top to enjoy the sunshine. Andrew was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable driving the car before we headed off. The car was in beautiful condition and very well maintained. Liz (my wife) and I had a great day with Rocky, spending most of the day cruising around the Adelaide Hills, stopping for lunch and afternoon tea. Rocky attracted admirers wherever we stopped. Finally, we drove back along the Adelaide foreshore, before returning Rocky to Tim and Karin. Big thankyou to them for preparing the car so nicely and patiently detailing Rocky’s quirks and habits! I can’t complain whatsoever about anything regarding the hire, everything was explained in great detail on the car re operation and insurance. I spoke to Joe prior to the date and we organized meeting at the designated time & location and all went very well. Was the 1st time I had driven a manual since my 1st car back in the early 90’s so bought back a few memories & my ability was still there – it all came back so that was satisfying. My eldest daughter Ruby was gifted a ride in one of your classic cars for her 21st birthday. Ruby, really loves cars, she is a little quirky, but quite knowledgeable on her favourite cars. We were met by Nick our driver at our home who presented us with, a beautiful red 1988 Ferrari. The car went better than I thought it would – that modern gearbox must transform the car; As a hire car I guess the original gearbox would be nearly unworkable for most modern users. It must have been just spectacular when the E type first appeared at the ?Birmingham show in 1961!! Penelope was an absolute joy, and dealing with Bruce was just as easy. It’s not an experience I will soon forget, and the look on my Dad’s face while driving me to the wedding was priceless. My old man is a tough nut to crack, but this split him down the middle. We both crossed off a proper bucket list item together. We had no problems over the three days and enjoyed ourselves immensely with Penelope. All communications with the owner leading up to collection were timely, relevant and professional. On meeting Bruce, handover went smoothly with all the instructions clearly communicated and offers of support, should something unexpectedly occur, were generously offered. We were blessed with fine weather for three days and had a wonderful time enjoying back roads from Sydney’s inner suburbs up to the Hunter Valley and back. Penelope performed beautifully and without incident. We certainly turned heads. Return and handover was a breeze although we were sad to hand her back. It was a great experience. Bit stressful, as I was driving someone else’s car. Steering was so different from modern cars. Hard work. The run on the motorway was good and the visible movement of the fuel gauge was, as we were warned, amazing. The chat about the history of Jags was very interesting. On reflection, one of the most enjoyable features of the car hire was meeting Rob. We very much appreciated the workshop and what he was doing. His workspace was a delight and he was very friendly. His conversational and inviting manner instilled confidence and comfort in me as the driver. I felt trusted and took responsibility for his car seriously. Don’t stop what you guys are doing. I do want to give some brief feedback as we absolutely loved our rental! Everything was just easy – the communication, pick up, drop off. We had a lovely day out with Stanley. After waking to rain, the weather improved so we were able to drive with the lid off all day. We drove to Healsville and up the Black Spur to Marysville. Visited Steavenson’s Falls and had a picnic lunch followed by a short walk at ‘The Beauty Spot’. On the return journey we stopped at Maroondah Dam where Stanley was greatly admired by some young men who thought he looked new. They nearly fell over when we told them that he was born in 1969. In the early 70s we used to have an MGB GT of about the same ‘vintage’. We are both in our 70s and so predated automatic cars by a good bit. However, we had forgotten the comparative hardship, compared to a modern car, of no power steering and minimally assisted brakes. We paid for the extra driver so that we could each have a go and I must say, to my chagrin, that Liz drove Stanley better than me. We both enjoyed our experience, so thank you for a great day out. Thank you for the pleasure in making Windsor available for all to use. Growing up with a mechanic Uncle, who has always had at least 1 Mustang, it was my childhood dream to one day own a Mustang. I’m a 1966 vintage myself and for numerous reasons never really got the chance. So it was to my delight when my wife organised a day with Windsor. We had a ball of a day. We are not residents of Sydney and while we have been to many parts, we had never been to the Northern Beaches and Palm Beach. So we took the scenic route from Kellyville to Terry Hills, through the National Park via McCarrs Creek Road to Church Point and from there to Palm Beach where we spent some time. From there we stopped at Avalon Beach, Bilgola Beach, Newport Beach, Bungan Beach, Mona Vale Beach, Narrabeen Beach, Collaroy Beach, South Curl Curl Beach, Freshwater Beach and finally Manly Beach, where we had late lunch and drinks. Driving such a magnificent piece of automotive history was fabulous. The car never missed a beat. Always started instantly, moved with such quietness and grace, yet you knew the power on tap if you wanted it. We did it all with the top down and the wind in our hair. I hired Jessie the Mustang as a surprise for my dads 50th. The car was clean, neat and tidy. I was glad to be able to install a baby seat for my toddler so she could enjoy the day with us. The car comfortably seats four adults. Husband said it can be a challenge to get the hang of driving it to start with but he enjoyed every second of it. My dad said it was the best day of his life, we took him for a coastal drive, then to golf and then a surprise dinner. Everyone enjoyed taking photos with the car. When we arrived at Terry’s, Alan still had no idea why we were there, but was admiring the MGB in the garage. The ride was a surprise for our Grandson’s 13th birthday which was in July but because of all the lockdowns we waited to give it to him. My husband tells me it was his best birthday ever! We were incredibly lucky with the weather on the day and had an extremely enjoyable day out, celebrating his 70th with our niece and her partner. There were no problems at all with the car and Edward was very friendly and helpful. Our original intention had been to share the day with Lindsay’s sister and brother-in-law but as they live in NZ that wasn’t possible. We had a fantastic day. We had a few cars in the convoy including a gorgeous E Type Jag to play with through out the day. Found a great spot for a picnic lunch in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Fangit Cobra though was the highlight of the day and a dream come true. Myself and everyone who spent time in it thoroughly enjoyed the sound and power of the Cobra’s 302 engine. We had a great day out in Roger and we have personally thanked Terry and his wife for their extremely considerate attitudes in assisting us to find their home and then retracing our steps to the hotel in which we had booked. We drove down to Wiseman’s Ferry and then on to St Albans, before retraceing to Mc Grath’s Hill, Windsor and Kurrajong for lunch. Stella was amazing! We had a bloody good time. The best part about it was the looks we were getting. Lots of appreciation! Had no trouble with the car except when it kind of threatened to pour down. Had to make a quick stop to pull the top back up. Had no rain.. So it went back down to the way it should be. Listening to the horses under the hood was pretty good. The experience with Roger was excellent!! The gearbox took me back to my first car: Morris Minor!! Getting into reverse was a challenge but I mastered it.
