Most of our owners have had their car listed with us for many years. They get great pleasure showing off their pride and joy and giving our clients a unique experience. They are also amazed how well the cars are looked after.
We are approaching 1 million rental kms over our 16 years in business. In that time there has only been 1 insurance claim and we have only had to take funds from client’s security deposits on 6 occasions.
This is no accident, if you will pardon the pun! The whole process, from booking through to documentation and hand over is designed primarily to ensure clients look after our cars. Owners are trained in our hand over process that takes about 20 minutes. But the main reason clients look after our cars is that they see it as an enormous privilege that we allow them to drive our wonderful cars – they also have to bring them back to us at the end of the day 🙂
And that is also one of the reasons why our owners rent their cars out. It is always for a special occasion of some kind – anniversary, retirement gift, proposal, birthday, etc. Always a couple, often with the kids and part of a special day which may include a picnic, romantic weekend away, etc. Basically we love showing off our cars and relish the praise when they are returned. The other big advantage the owners find is that, as their cars are driven regularly, they are more reliable. And when those little issues crop up that need fixing, there is the incentive to do so as you have a hire coming up – and the income to pay for it 🙂
