1973 Corvette Stingray!
Seats 2. Manual Gearbox. Left Hand Drive. Targa Roof.
- Yes, my partner absolutely loved taking Raymundo, so much so he’s now looking to buy one! Which I always knew was the risk. We cruised down to Kiama and back and the weather was perfect, we took plenty of brag snaps too. We had a great experience and I will be sure to recommend your site to my brothers and mates. Thanks again. Cassandra and George.
- Our weekend with Raymundo was awesome! I loved the 70’s eccentricities of the car. Gauges, brakes and suspension. Everywhere we went he turned heads. Will definitely borrow him again. Thanks again for the opportunity. The ease of the organising was also appreciated as was Andrew’s passion for me to enjoy the car. Peter

What can you say about a Corvette Stingray that has not been said before? 2 seats, 350 cubic inches, 4 speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive made it the only volume sports car to come out of the USA in the sixties.
And what a great name! The Stingray was hankered over by every teenage boy at the time – and one or two teenage girls as well. One of those teenagers was Andrew ..what does he love about it? The shape and the sound! “Raymundo” is the last of the C3 models before the Corvette went all weak and wussy in the late seventies and eighties. Still with chrome bumpers – though only on the rear as the US fun police banned them from the front of cars in the late sixties.
As for the sound? That 350 cubic inches sounds glorious, especially when under hard acceleration or blipping the throttle when changing down through the fabulous long shift 4 speed gearbox. It’s a Left Hand Drive but as Andrew says “it’s not an overly wide car & you’re still driving on the same side of the road as everyone else here so the difference is negligible ..” so don’t let it stop you enjoying a classic American Muscle Car!
Take him out and experience a sixties Super Car – American style.
